I went on a little drive with my friend yesterday, she and I got the car washed and the tires topped off with air, so I thought I would take some photos, because it was such a nice day. Its a 2013 Fiat 500C Pop. Ya, I know base model blah, blah, blah. Its a surprisingly good car, if I had to get a base model economy hatch, I'd choose this car (not a convertible). I wouldnt want a base model hatch, but if I had to choose within a box, this would be it.

As much as I love the Abarth, the 500 is the kind of car where the base model is endearing.

I definitely would not get the convertible but I have nothing but love for base models, especially strippers. Sadly there aren't really any strippers anymore, except for work trucks and fleet vehicles.

I also love strippers, and also cars with no options.

That's what mine is, and I love it. I don't know if I would call it a stripper though, even the base models come with a amazing amount of creature comforts. I agree about the convertible though, it seemed to take up too much space on the top.

IMO, the 500 is a hidden gem.

For $14-15k out the door, brand new, you can get an economy car that doesn't look and drive like a total sh*tbox (which can't be said of its competitors.)

It looks great, it's fun to drive, it sounds fantastic (7,500 rpm with Magnetti Marelli tuning FTW), and the stripper base model is loaded: leather steering wheel, cruise, power windows, keyless entry, and bluetooth. All covered under a 4 year, 50k mile warranty with free roadside assistance.

I feel like the 500 goes opposite of normal when it comes to base vs. top spec. Base the Fiat is decent, and at a good price. Top spec the car comes up short of what I'd expect.

Thanks. It was new as of this year and I thought it was better than red which I had last time.

Mine is black, but it's an Abarth, so it doesn't come in the cool retro colors.

I parked it like that purposely, I backed up to the curb. I did this so I would get a good stance for this photo:

The rear photo was an afterthought.
